BARISTA DOLCE 5KG
Product Details
In the cup
Softer and sweeter than Intenso, with a rounded chocolate character and a gentle finish. Less acidity, more body. Dolce means sweet, and this is the bean in the range that leans that way rather than toward strength or brightness.
Where it shines
Milk drinks. A cappuccino or flat white made with this comes out sweet without needing sugar, and the sweetness survives the milk rather than being flattened by it. If your customers order lattes and say the coffee tastes bitter, this is the correction.
Recommended recipe
18g in, 36 to 40g out, 27 to 30 seconds. Adjust to your grinder and your water. The thirty percent Robusta gives you a wider margin for error than a pure Arabica, which matters when several people are working the machine through a rush. Rest three to five days off the roast date before dialling in.
The volume saving
5kg works out at ₹[X] a kilo against ₹1,450 on the 1kg, saving ₹[X] across the box. At an 18g dose that is roughly 275 double shots, or about ₹[X] each.
Storing 5kg properly
Buying volume only pays if the last kilo tastes like the first. Keep the bag sealed and away from heat, light and the espresso machine itself, and decant into your hopper as you go rather than filling it. Most cafés work through 5kg in two to three weeks, which is comfortably inside the window. If it will take you longer than a month, the 1kg is the better buy even at the higher rate.
Who it's for
High volume cafés with milk-led menus, hotel breakfast service, and anywhere pulling enough cappuccinos to move 5kg in under a month.
