Softer and sweeter than Intenso, with a rounded chocolate character and a gentle finish. Less acidity, more body. Dolce means sweet, and this is the bean in the range that leans that way rather than toward strength or brightness.

Where it shines

Milk drinks. A cappuccino or flat white made with this comes out sweet without needing sugar, and the sweetness survives the milk rather than being flattened by it. If your customers order lattes and say the coffee tastes bitter, this is the correction.

Recommended recipe

18g in, 36 to 40g out, 27 to 30 seconds. Adjust to your grinder and your water. The thirty percent Robusta gives you a wider margin for error than a pure Arabica, which matters when more than one person is working the machine. Rest three to five days off the roast date before dialling in.

Cost per shot

At an 18g dose a kilo gives roughly 55 double shots, about ₹26 each. Against Insignia at ₹33 and Intenso at ₹29, the gap on a single cappuccino is smaller than most menus round to. Where Dolce earns its place is on sweetness through milk, not on price alone.

Who it's for

Cafés with a milk-led menu, and anywhere the espresso needs to stay sweet through a large latte. Also the most forgiving bean in the range for a team still building consistency.

70 percent washed Arabica AA, 30 percent Robusta. Roasted to order in small batches at our Kinfra factory in Chundale, Wayanad. Net weight 1kg.
