WAYANADAN FILTER KAAPI 1KG
Product Details
In the cup
Strong, sweet and full bodied, built for a milky sugared morning cup rather than for tasting notes. The decoction runs thick and holds its character through milk and jaggery.
How to brew it
South Indian steel filter. Two heaped tablespoons in the upper chamber, press the disc down lightly, pour water just off the boil, and let it drip for fifteen to twenty minutes. One part decoction to three parts hot milk, sugar or jaggery to taste.
Who it's for
Households drinking two or three cups a day, and anyone tired of buying a 200g pack every fortnight. At around 100 cups, a kilo lasts a family of four roughly a month.
What's in it
Roasted and ground in small batches at our factory in Chundale, Wayanad. Net weight 1kg, around 100 cups. Every pack carries the batch number, roast date and best before, plus a QR code linking back to the lot.
A note on buying 1kg of ground coffee
Ground coffee stales faster than whole beans because there is more surface exposed to air. A kilo is excellent value if you drink it daily, but keep it sealed and away from heat and light, and decant a week's worth into a smaller jar rather than opening the main pack each morning. If you drink less than a cup a day, the 250g or 500g will taste better.
